Unitec Institute of Technology are awarding 10 Ngāti Whatua Engineering & Nursing Scholarships in 2020. The Scholarships are to encourage Māori students to pursue tertiary education at Unitec in either a Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor level programme. Recipients of any and all Māori focused scholarships are expected to be involved and participate in the Unitec Māori Community.

The Internship programme runs over the summer period and gives applicants the opportunity to gain work experience with Whai Maia, Whai Rawa or the Trust Board, in various roles across the three organisations, e.g. marketing, whenua, early childcare, community services, or health services. The successful applicants are placed on a fixed term paid contract.
