Digital Device – Chromebook (Year 6-13 Students)

Many schools use Chromebooks as a learning resource. Year 6-13 students have the option of receiving a Chromebook or an education grant.

Education Grant

Overview

The Education grant provides financial assistance for purchasing educational resources and/or contributing to fees.

If you choose to apply for the Kura Kaupapa education grant you will not be eligible to receive the Back to School grant

Tutorial Subsidy

Overview

The Tutorial Subsidy is to support students with additional numeracy and literacy, music or arts tuition.

Swimming grant

Overview

The Swimming grant is to help with swimming lessons and also encourages keeping active.

Sports Grant

Overview

The Sports grant is provided by the Trust Board to help support high performing sportspersons.

Baradene College of the Sacred Heart Scholarship

Overview

Baradene College of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic girls school based in Remuera, Auckland. Two Scholarships are offered annually to high achieving young girls.

Holiday Programme

Overview

A 5-day marae-based holiday programme held at Ōrākei Marae for Year 4 to 8 students (ages 8-12 years old).

Free nib Health Insurance - Toi Ora

Overview

A comprehensive health insurance policy for all hapū members to improve health and wellbeing. Includes coverage of specialists, GP, professional services and much more. The cost is directly paid to the health insurance company.

Ōrākei Health Services – GP Clinic

Overview

Ōrākei Health is proudly owned and operated by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. We provide quality general health and medical care for whānau/families living in East Auckland.

​Our clinic is situated at the Eastridge Mall in Ōrākei and is an affordable low-cost service with qualified and experienced staff.

Savings Scheme - Toi Tupu

Overview

A Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei iwi investment savings scheme that encourages whānau to save for a better future. Each year $500.00 is contributed towards a savings scheme for each member.

Digital Device – Chromebook (Year 6-13 Students)

Overview

Many schools use Chromebooks as a learning resource. Year 6-13 students have the option of receiving a Chromebook or an education grant. Applicants who opt for the device will be able to pick up the device at the Education Summit on Saturday 1st February 2020.

Students who applied for and received a Chromebook in 2019 will not be able to apply for a Chromebook in 2020, but will be able to apply for an education grant.

Applications for the Digital Device – Chromebook closes on 28th February 2020.
