This month’s kaupapa is Junk Free June, a fun and positive way to take charge of your health – particularly if you are at risk of chronic conditions like Diabetes, Gout and Osteoarthritis. Changes to your diet can have a big impact on your personal health and living junk free is one choice you can make for a happier life. Everyone's junk is different - the goal is to make changes in your diet and lifestyle so you feel healthier and happier when you kick the junk!

Toi Ora invites you to join us as we ‘kick the junk’. We have special guest speaker Dr Janet Titchener – Diabetes Specialist sharing some key tips on how to prevent and manage Diabetes followed by an interactive healthy cooking session with Cherill Rave – Healthy Babies, Healthy Futures Coordinator who provides community workshops to learn tips and tricks for healthy eating on a budget.

Come along and tautoko Go Red for May! The Go Red for May kaupapa is about raising awareness around Women's Heart Awareness month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women of Aotearoa with nearly 60 Kiwi women who die from heart disease every week, making it New Zealand's single biggest killer.

NWŌ Toi Ora supports Go Red for May by inviting whānau to wear something RED and join us for a fun morning of kōrero, kai, fun activities and more!
