In 2019 the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust took an inclusive approach to the strategic planning process by touring both Aotearoa and Australia seeking input from Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei members. This whānau input has been reflected in the creation of both the 5 year strategy and long term strategy. We look forward to sharing these strategies with you all very soon.
At the beginning of 2020, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust held during the month of March 2020 across both Aotearoa and Ahitereiria.
The purpose of the 2020 Haerenga | Roadshows is to engage kanohi ki te kanohi with our whānau and to inform whānau about the proposed changes to the Trust Deed, to be put to a special vote in the upcoming Special General Meeting (SGM) taking place 13 September 2020 at Ōrākei Marae.
The hui will focus on the proposed Trust Deed changes which include:
1. Membership definition for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei
2. Debt Ratio requirements
3. Electronic nominations, voting, hui and notices
4. Trusts Act 2019 alignment
5. Minor improvement and administration amendments
