Nau mai, haere mai e ngā uri o Tuperiri. Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held on Sunday 13 September this year, come along and join us at Ōrākei Marae and via Zoom, a link provided in your voting pack. Due to current covid-19, we will update whānau as soon as possible regarding hui at Ōrākei Marae. Kia mau tonu mai.

This year we are proposing changes to our Trust Deed for the first time since our settlement in 2011. The intent of these changes is to improve the way the Deed works for us and to provide the capacity to deliver on our strategy and plans. The proposed Trust Deed changes include:

1. Membership definition for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei
2. Loan Ratio requirements
3. Electronic nominations, voting, hui and notices
4. Trusts Act 2019 alignment
5. Minor improvement and administration amendments

Proposed changes to the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust Deed will be put to a special vote at the SGM this year. In the lead up to the SGM, our aim is to equip whānau with as much information as possible to encourage informed decisions.  Learn more by checking out our webpage.
