2021 NWO SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING RESULTS.
On the 20th June, 2021 the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Special General Meeting (SGM) was held at Ōrākei Marae and via Zoom. This gave the iwi the opportunity to vote on a special resolution regarding the future economic growth of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.
The graphic below illustrates how whānau voted. Overall 500 votes were cast, with 348 votes (69.6%) for and 151 votes (30.2%) against the proposed amendment.
