As ahi kā, there is a strategic role that our artists provide and that is the ongoing celebration of Orākeitanga and our rich cultural heritage of Ngāti Whātua Orākei stories.

These stories and narratives are expressed through traditional artforms such as kapa haka, raranga, whakairo, tā moko, through to our contemporary mediums that take an innovative lens within the fast paced and changing digital and film platforms. Our growing Orākei arts and design footprint, map key identity markers for our next generations to enjoy as they see themselves reflected within their whenua and the world.
