The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust for the year ended 30 June 2022 will take place at 11am on Sunday 27 November, 2022 online and at Ōrākei Marae.
In the lead up to the Annual General Meeting, we will share as much information as possible to help you make an informed vote. This will be shared via all our usual communication platforms (e-pānui, our website, and social media accounts). 2022 AGM Resolutions
Resolution 1 – Annual General Meeting Minutes
That the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 28 November 2021 be accepted as a true record of the meeting, and any amendments duly recorded.
Resolution 2 – Financial Statements
That the duly audited Consolidated Financial Statements of the Trust and Controlled Entities for the year ended 30 June 2022 be received.
Resolution 3 – Remuneration
That the AGM confirm the existing fees of $45,000 to be paid to each Elected Representative per annum with an additional fee payable to the Chair of $45,000 and to the Deputy Chair of $20,000 be approved.
Voting on the 2022 Ordinary Resolutions Poll
There are three ways to vote on the ordinary resolutions poll – by post, online, and in person at the Annual General Meeting (provided there is no COVID-19 related limit on the number of people gathering in one place on the day of the AGM).
Postal Voting closes at: 12 noon, Wednesday 23 November 2022.
Internet Voting
Enter www.electionz.com/NWO2022 into the address bar of your internet browser to go to the voting site.
You will be asked to enter a PIN and password.
After voting, please destroy this voting paper. Online voting will close at the end of the AGM (approx 12 Noon on Sunday, 27 November 2022).
Postal Voting
Carefully detach the voting paper along the perforated line and place the bottom portion into the freepost envelope provided. Post it to reach the Returning Officer before voting closes at 12 noon, Wednesday 23 November 2022.
It is recommended to post no later than Friday 18 November 2022.
Election Services Provider
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei has engaged a new election services provider to conduct this year’s Annual General Meeting: electionz.com. electionz.com has conducted elections across the private and public sector for over 21 years, including for more than 150 individual iwi organisations: including Ngāti Porou, Tūwharetoa, Waikato Tainui, Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngāti Maniapoto.
electionz.com is based in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Rest assured they have a streamlined service to make sure that postal votes are received in a timely manner to their processing centre.
