Kia Kotahi: Race Days On Takaparawhau, is a fan zone held on Takaparawhau throughout the key America’s Cup race dates. The fan zone will showcase Ngāti Whātua Ōrakei culturally, creatively, and historically, as well as celebrate the major international sporting event, happening close by in the Waitematā Harbour. The America’s Cup (AC36) will be one of Aotearoa’s (and globally) premier sporting and major events for 2021.
This is a prime opportunity to leverage off this activity with a high impact fan zone of thoughtful activations up on Takaparawhau, inviting the public and creating more awareness, knowledge and a deeper understanding of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, the people of Tāmaki Makauaru’s local iwi.
