Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Special General Meeting will be held on Sunday 13 September, 2020. Due to Covid 19 Alert Level 2.5 in Tāmaki Makaurau, the SGM will be exclusively held online via ZOOM. The zoom link is provided in your voting pack.

This year, we are making changes to the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust Deed since its inception in 2011. The intent of these changes is to improve the way the Deed works for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and to provide the capacity to deliver on our strategy and plans. Proposed changes to the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust Deed will be put to a special vote at the SGM this year. By now you will have received your voting papers. There are 2 methods to vote including by post and online. Please check your voting pack for further information. The proposed Trust Deed changes include:

1. Membership definition for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei
2. Debt Ratio requirements
3. Electronic nominations, voting, hui and notices
4. Trusts Act 2019 alignment
5. Minor improvement and administration amendments
