Monday, 18th of September marks 183 years since the Tuku Whenua by Apihai Te Kawau and Ngāti Whātua to Governor-Lieutenant William Hobson and his fledgling government. On that morning, karanga, karakia, whaikōrero and mōteatea will resound from these significant sites of Ngāti Whātua:
6.15am Maungawhau | Mt Eden
6.45am Ōpoutūteka | Cox's Bay
7.30am Taurarua | Judge's Bay
8.15am Te Rerenga Ora-iti | Pt Britomart
9.00am Pōwhiri ki Ōrākei Marae
