Come for a visit!Learn to Sail – Optimist Level 1
Sailing is a sport for life, whether you’re sailing for fun or if you are planning on a pathway to race on the world stage.
In your RAYC Optimist Level 1 course, your coach will help you work on all the basics from learning how to rig your boat and understanding capsize recovering techniques.
Our sailors commence their pathway with their Level 1 RAYC Learn to Sail Course. This course is for an 8-week period during the school term or a 4-day Fast Track option during school holidays. Sailors will learn to sail in the Optimist dinghy which is a stable and reliable boat to learn in. Once the sailor has fulfilled the learning objectives of Level 1 they will be awarded their certificate and can progress to Level 2.

Remuera Golf Programme
Give golf a go this school holidays! Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei has partnered up with Remuera Golf Club to bring you, our tamariki and rangatahi the opportunity to have fun and learn the basics of Golf with world class coaches.
This 2 week programme will run on January 17th, 19th, 24th and 26th 2023, with an option for weekly access to the golfing range during the school term (Term 1) for those who enjoy the programme and want to continue to learn and develop your game. Transport, kai and equipment will be provided – all you need to bring is comfortable clothing, footwear and a water bottle.
