The Good Kai Project

By Māori, for Māori – cultivating food sovereignty, te kai a te rangatira

What is The Good Kai Project?

The Good Kai Project is all about exploring ways to get our whānau access to better food at a better price. We see a better way for the food system to work; a co-operative model which allows people to access good quality kai at better prices than what they’d pay at alternative shops.

How does it work?

It’s as simple as visiting our website thegoodkaiproject.co.nz and following the steps to place your order. We have tightened the delivery locations so check our postcode checker. Please only place an order if you live in these locations.

Check out the schedule below for the next six order and pick-up/deliveries.

What does it cost?

It depends how big your whānau is – but the goal is to get the cost of kai about 20% cheaper than what you’d pay in the shops. We’ve built in some flexible ways to pay, so you can make it work for your whānau and circumstances.
