Waitematā Kupenga Rau

Waitematā Kupenga Rau is the theme for the National Iwi Chairs Forum Tāmaki and celebrates abundance, opportunity, connections and sustainability. Waitematā Kupenga Rau refers to the abundance of kai from the waters of the Waitematā and the many chiefs who inhabited the bays and inlets.

Tāhoetia ngā wai pounga hoe a Te Kawau.

Ngā Rangatahi a Iwi

The Ngā Rangatahi A Iwi Forum is a collective of rangatahi representatives that work within the Iwi Chairs’ Forum to discuss issues of importance for rangatahi Māori. They meet quarterly, in February, May, August and December at the Iwi Chairs’ Forum. Ngā Rangatahi A Iwi was initially established to align rangatahi perspectives, activities and work within mutual interest areas.  The aim is to develop a strategic and collaborative approach to rangatahi initiatives; strengthen rangatahi engagement; involvement; and commit to iwi development and succession.
