Toi Tupuroa Project Manager
Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity:
The Toi Tupuroa Project Manager is an integral member of the Toi Tupuroa team and wider Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Māia group.
The Toi Tupuroa Project Manager is responsible for developing, leading and supporting key projects to ensure the effective implementation across Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Māia. This role is responsible for creating impact at scale through internal and external collaboration.
This role shall employ new ways of thinking, fresh approaches and innovative programmes to empower the descendants of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, that align with the organisation’s aspirations and strategies.
Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Essential skills/experiences for the role:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with:
- Working with whānau
- Managing and co-ordinating projects.
- Strategy planning and implementation.
- Applying frameworks and concepts to local contexts achieve the desired outcomes.
- Working alongside partner organisations to support delivery and maximise impact.
- Excellent relationship management skills with external organisations and internal teams as needed

Toi Coordinator – Kairuruku Toi
Ko wai mātou | Who are we:
Ngāti Whātua are an indigenous people of New Zealand and are hapū of the wider Ngāti Whātua iwi located in and around Tamaki isthmus. Ngāti Whātua history in Tāmaki Makaurau extends back to the migration from Hawaiiki. The people of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei are a hapū (sub-tribe), of the Ngāti Whātua iwi (tribe) with more than 5000 tribal members and the ahikaaroa home-fires are centred around Ōrākei Marae.
Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity:
This role is an integral part of the Toi Tūhono team delivering cultural expertise and relationship management skills to foster creative expressions of the ahi-kā burning brightly across Tāmaki. Reporting to the Toi Tūhono this role will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of our Toi Auaha kaupapa, responding to incoming enquiries, stakeholder liaison, documentation preparation, and supporting uri ringatoi within the programme.
Central to the role’s function is a close working relationship with the Raukura Tūhono - Heritage lead to ensure that the correct NWŌ cultural narratives are brought to creative kaupapa which are located within Te Kahu Tōpuni o Tuperiri. This close collaboration will bring cultural rigour and excellence to ensure that these taonga are protected, respected and enhanced through the provision of high quality and consistent technical advice to continue the reinscription of the NWŌ cultural landscape across Tāmaki.
At the core of the Toi Auaha programme is the growth of creative futures for NWŌ uri who choose to occupy the creative sector. This role will foster and strengthen key stakeholder relationships (internal & external) while growing and maintaining up-to-date records for the Toi Auaha CSM database. This role will also help to define and implement the interface of Toi Auaha Ōrākei NWŌ location intelligence framework.

Toi Auaha Programme
- Co-ordinating Toi Auaha administration needs, incoming enquiries, calendar organisation
- Update, upgrade and manage Ōrākei ringatoi CSM database
- Ensure compliance with Whai Māia accounting and expenditure processes
- Support projects/programmes/exhibition logistics
- Provide advice and guidance to the Toi Tūhono team and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei representatives.
- Ensure the provision of a professional service to and for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, stakeholders and clients.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity:
We are looking for General Practitioners. The role is varied and based on a roster where the GP will provide a range of primary care services within a multidisciplinary team. The GP provides individual and whānau/family medical care within the Primary Healthcare, Outreach and tele-health settings.
The GP works closely with the Senior GP and Nursing team to offer clinical guidance, assistance, education, and support. Partnerships & collaboration with other teams within Toi Ora are required to provide efficient, effective, holistic wrap-around services to ensure the overall wellbeing of patients/whānau.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity:
Ngati Whatua Orakei are looking for a permanent Practice Nurse Manager at their Ōrākei Health Satellite clinic (Glen Innes).
Reporting to the Toi Ora General Manager, you will be responsible for co-ordinating nurse-led services, providing a range of primary care services within a multidisciplinary team.
You will work closely with the Senior GP and Practice Nursing team to offer clinical guidance, assistance, education, and support.
This role will champion whānau needs and provide timely clinical and culturally appropriate health services while also developing clinical protocols in conjunction with the rest of the medical team to ensure that best practice is maintained.
You will also work to develop initiatives to enable patient centric, coordinated care and engage and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to support the coordination of care and support services.
Partnerships & collaboration with other teams within the Tāmaki Hauora Hub are required to provide efficient, effective, holistic wrap around services to ensure overall wellbeing of patients/whānau.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity:
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei are looking for a permanent Nurse Practitioner at their Ōrākei Health Satellite clinic (Glen Innes).
Reporting to the Orakei Health Practice Manager, we are looking for an expert nurse to work within a specific area of practice incorporating advanced knowledge and skills. You will practice both independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to promote health, prevent disease and diagnose, assess, and manage people’s health needs.
We expect that you will prescribe medicines within your specific area of practice and demonstrate leadership as a consultant, educator, and manager, while also being aware of necessary compliance and legal requirements in regard to the Privacy Act, HIPC, HPCA and PHO contracts.
This role will demonstrate advanced clinical decision-making processes and provide timely clinical and culturally appropriate health services while also developing clinical protocols in conjunction with the rest of the medical team to ensure that best practice is maintained.

Te Puna Reo Ōkahukura Early Childhood Centre is looking for a qualified/trained kaiako with a high level of fluency in te reo Māori who will nurture our mokopuna and help plan and implement learning programmes that respond to the identity, interests, strengths and capabilities of all our tamariki.

Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Ngahere Ltd - Ngahere Kaitiaki
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of the Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Ngahere team working in and around Woodhill and Riverhead.
The successful applicant must be physically fit and in good health as the role requires walking moderate distances, sometimes on difficult terrain, manual labour including intensive work like cutting and splitting wood by hand, loading and unloading of fire-wood. (S)he must also be very sensible, trustworthy, well-spoken / articulate and good with people, as key tasks are public relations / education and monitoring / managing access into the forest. It would be of benefit if the applicant has an understanding of working on tablets, recording data, writing incident reports and following clear instructions. (S)he must hold a clean driver’s license and be willing to be subject to a Police background check, as well as workplace drug testing. Security training / experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of Te Reo me ngā tikanga o Ngāti Whātua and of our south Kaipara communities.
